Glee cast sings Joker: Folie à Deux, a soundtrack by Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix. And Harlequin, a companion album to the movie soundtrack

Since both albums have pretty much the same songs I decided to make a singular post for those, Joker songs will have ♠️ in the beginning while Harlequin songs will have ♦️ so you can check out both version later

♠️Slap That Bass (originally from “Shall We Dance”) sung by Mike and Will in “The Substitute”

-in Joker 2 this song, Get Happy and What the World Needs are song in a mash-up, but I’ll put them here separately. This one in particular would be a fantasy sequence just like Make Em Laugh, putting Mike to sing this time since listening to the original, his voice is quite similar, and there’s space for a little tap dancing he can do

-in case you didn’t notice before, neither of them appeared in the episode, due to Vanessa’s contract and… Damian doing something else I guess. Anyway, since the episode is basically a Bee Gees tribute I don’t see why they couldn’t perform this, it certainly fit Rory’s baritone voice and Sugar’s… kind of sweet voice when she doesn’t sound like a frog being squished by a truck?

-as a reference to Brittana singing this in the previous episode about their wedding, Klaine would sing this merely as a joke or in a state of craziness from being stuck in the elevator for so long, probably wouldn’t be recorded, it would also serve as a hint that they would also get married later in the season

-in season one these three recorded a cover of Tell Him by Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand, since then, they never had a trio together, they more than anyone else deserve it. This song would be amazing, it’s a song about fighting to get where you want and never give up, something we saw from them in various season, but season 3 in particular was when all three were willing to get more, I would’ve loved a cover of this

-I believe we all hate the way the newbies just got thrown away once they lost nationals right? -strange roster of singers don’t you think? Well, after Artie performed with the boys for Sugar, Rory would do the same but with the god squad, his baritone voice would make the performance very energetic as well as Mercedes high notes, it’s a gospel song, she sings one everyday as a workout, the other three would sing less but still have a verse or two

-I didn’t remember this song on the show so I had to rewatch it and damn, I didn’t remember it at all, it’s very sad, sung right after Mr Schue says he won’t be there for sectionals, and I liked it, it’s a good cover, although it sounds sometimes like an harmonies battle, they sing a line and you have eight different people doing “oh’s” and “ah’s”

-I think she could sing this at the time she’s thinking about giving up on broadway, her head would probably be full with a lot of things, he career, the tv show, Santana, Finn and it would be too much for her to handle, so she would have this breakdown while singing and wishing for a little light at the end of the tunnel

Finally, that’s the end, for now, in case you don’t know Gaga will be releasing her seventh album studio in February, we still don’t have a date so i won’t say when I’ll start working on it, I will also be working on a post showing stats for this series, who sung more songs, what type they sung more etc. I liked working on this a lot, I listened to songs I never heard before, I will also start working on Gaga’s unreleased songs, but since there’s a ton of them out there it’s not coming out soon, either way, thank you so much for keeping up with this little series of mine lol, glee x Gaga will be back in February, bye ;)

Idk if this has been asked already but what do you think are Quinn and Rachel’s top 5 artists on Spotify or just top 5 favourite singers in general.

Warning: This author is musically stuck in the 70's, 80's, and 90's and does not stream music. 

Rachel, being Rachel, is going to keep up with music and new artists in a way that I most definitely do not, and thus, Quinn will be forced to do the same, so both of their top fives are going to change up on occasion as they find new artists and songs. 

I feel like one of Rachel’s top five would always be the latest and greatest Broadway musical soundtrack which would drop down the list when the next hit show is released.  

And obviously, Barbra Streisand has a permanent place of honor. 

She will not willingly admit to anyone that Taylor Swift is constantly sneaking back into her top five but her most played songs list will betray her. 

As for Quinn, Rachel Berry will obviously be her number one artist of all time. 

I always head-canon that she’s a fan of classic 60's pop and Motown, so I’m gonna say Dusty Springfield pretty much stays on her list. 

And in the vein of girl power and being in possession of a tremulous alto and Belinda Carlisle glamour, the Go-Go’s (and Belinda’s solo work) are in her rotation pretty regularly.

Fiddling with the playlist blasting over the speakers instead of what he was actually supposed to be doing, Leo had glanced at his watch for the 15th time in the last five seconds. A new shipment of orchids were left neglected, but it felt wrong, being put to work when Barbra Streisand kept crooning about raining on her parade. She had a voice and all, he knew he was insulting one of the greats when they upturned their nose at every song of hers, but it wasn't like he was 80. Or Rachel Berry, god forbid.

The second he started streaming Sabrina Carpenter's new album, the phone rang, and truly, he considered just letting it ring. At one point, he'd actually kept the store phone out of the cradle, before remembering threats of being fired if they pulled a move like that. Apparently, it was 'bad for business'. "Fuuuuck." They droned on, truly dragging out the word and milking their dramatics, even as they pressed the phone to their ear, before attempting to cover it with a rather lame, "Fowler's Flowers, this is -."

Front doorbell chiming, Leo halted mid introduction. Even when the a tinny and confused Hello? crackled through, they still poked their head around the corner, immediately perking up when they saw a shock of familiar red hair. "Gotta go." Good morning, friends, fans and fellow students! No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, I, Rachel Barbra Berry, have returned from my social media hiatus. Many of you maybe wondering why my accounts suddenly went dark (yes that is a reference to Monday’s on Broadway). The reason was simple, this star needed a rest before burning out.

Yes, you read correctly. Between going to school full-time and starring in a Tony-Award winning show, I simply didn’t have a moment to breathe. However, insttad of quitting, I decided to return to where it all began and find my footing before returning to the spotlight.

rachel has always been an overachiever, joining club after club, spearheading group projects to the point where she just does them herself, etc. back in high school she had the excuse that it was to get into a good college. now it's simply a habit that she can't break. if her hand isn't up first in class when the teacher asks a question then something is seriously wrong.

rachel knows she's unpopular and she's very much aware of why (she can be too much for people sometimes and she's very focused on her own future, to the detriment of those around her), but it does weigh on her. she is more insecure than one might imagine and she longs to have some of the college experiences that movies have popularized.

her insecurity does not extend to her talent. she knows that she's too good for small town ohio and it kills her that she's wasting away some of her precious ingenue years, but college show choir is a real way to get attention. and it's important to have the training that a college like mckinley provides on a resume, even if one doesn't actually need it.

rachel likes to be in control of situations. she doesn't drink or consume any mind-altering substances and she gets the proper amount of sleep each night so she's always sharp. she has her routines and she's perfected them. however, if her control of a situation starts to slip, there's no knowing what she'll do.

But essentially it's a post-season 6 break up fic where Blaine's like "damn this sucks booty. I wish I'd never even met Kurt" and then he wakes up and he's living a life in which he and Kurt have never met because it sounds awkward and painful and I'm just a slut for angst i guess

“Let it be known that I love Rachel Barbra Berry to the ends of this earth, but if I have to wake up to the sound of her gargling salt water at five in the morning as a preventative measure against bronchitis one more time, I might actually poison our water supply with arsenic.
